Solving the
Plastics Problem
learn how our products help create a better home planet.
I always wanted to make a difference with my life…which led me to a career in sustainable design. I spent many years working to change the way buildings, film and TV sets were designed and built so that they would not negatively impact our planet. But once they were built, they were filled with plastic. I just knew there had to be a better way. I became obsessed with finding a more sustainable solution to everyday plastic products that we throw away - and to use the power of business, technology and design to make a real difference. Repurpose was created with a huge vision to solve a huge problem - to get rid of plastic and make sustainability more convenient and accessible to all people everywhere.
I read something many years ago...Purpose is a key ingredient for happiness. I started with a career in Real Estate Investment and Development. A wonderful career, but for me the true "purpose" was missing. I was learning more and more about the perils of single use plastic in our world and at the same time was starting a family of my own. This was a huge problem for me and the thought of building a company that played a part in solving it became my passion. There it was, the purpose I was looking for. We wanted to focus on innovation and partnerships and in doing so, we created a brand new category with incredible everyday products for everyday people. In my mind, there is nothing better.
We are a small-but-mighty team of eco-entrepreneurs with a passion for educating consumers on the dangers of single use plastic, and designing safe, durable alternative plant-based products.
The Repurpose team believes climate justice is social justice. We're proud to live what we believe. Our team is 43% POC / LGBTQIA and our leadership team is 83% female identifying.
Our leadership has diverse expertise and experience with a shared passion for solving our planet’s plastic problem.
